How to play Frog Solitaire

Layout:

8 foundation piles: Build up from Ace to King in the same suit.

Reserve: The top card is only playable on the foundations. 13 cards are dealt here at the start of the game.

Stock: Turn over 1 card to the main trash pile from stock. There are no redeals.

Main waste pile: The top card can be played on the foundations or normal trash piles. Only one card can be held at a time. If there is a card in this pile, it must be moved before another card from the stock may be dealt.

5 regular waste piles: May hold any cards. The top card may only be played on the foundations by double-clicking or right-clicking.

Foundation:

There are two foundation piles.

Any ace in the foundation may be transferred to any vacant pile.

A card may be placed on a foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of any suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 4 is a 5. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Cards cannot be taken from the foundation after they have been placed.

Tableau:

There are five tableau piles, all of which are originally empty.

Regardless of suit or rank, cards from the stock may be added to the tableau. As a result, the cards that might be played on 4 are J, Q, K, A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Cards may not be moved to the tableau from other tableau piles or the frog.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation.

Any card from the stock may be used to fill any empty slots in the tableau. They are not permitted to be filed from other tableau piles or the frog.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock:

The stock is made up of leftover cards.

The top card of the stock is always face-up, so you may drag it to the tableau or the foundation at your leisure.
